The Modigliani's sculptor activity is one of the most intricated topic in the artist's historiography, since it turns out to be poorly documented.

The greatest inaccuracies mainly concern the years in which the artist sculpted and consequently the dating of each works to which we have to added a further obstacle constituted by an imprecise cataloging of the preparatory drawings of the Alexandre collection, approximately classified among those "realized before April 1913" and after that date.
